Bishop Charles M. Nakashima

It is always a sad time when we must say good-by to someone whom we all love and appreciate.

Bishop Charles M. Nakashima went home to be with the Lord December 23, 2009.

We will greatly miss him, however, his work in this life was completed and God called him home to be with Him.

Bishop Nakashima was very active in the Newtown Church of God as he served on the Church and Pastor’s Council, along with the Prison Ministry at OCCC and Halawa Correctional Institute, where he provided Bible Study for the Inmates and council with them on many occasions.

He also served on the Hawaii Churches of God State Council.

Bishop Nakashima was always ready to do whatever he could for the advancement of the Kingdom of God.

Sister Nakashima and Aileen, we, at the Newtown Church of God, extend to you our prayers and support during this trying time.

Bishop Nakashima, we miss you and we commend you into the hands of a Loving God.

Aloha until we meet again.
